Route Details

Copenhagen to Oslo. +800 km of rugged adventure! +7,200 meters of elevation, and 103 hours to conquer it.

This is the Nordic Chase Gravel Edition — a tougher, wilder, and more remote ultra-distance challenge. Over 80% gravel, more inland, and undeniably more demanding.

You’ll roll out from the lively streets of Copenhagen, head north through the Danish countryside, cross by ferry into Sweden, and dive deep into forests, farmlands, backroads, and remote ridgelines. From gravel climbs to silent lakesides, you’ll experience the raw heart of southern Scandinavia — all the way to Oslo.

Note: The route was personally verified by the Organizer, Gregory Sanders, during the summer of 2025. Below are some pictures he took along the way of his trip. While the course is now confirmed, minor adjustments may still be made up until the release of the official race manual, one month prior to the event.

🏁 We’ll be waiting at the finish line until the very last rider rolls in—all the way until the cut-off time—to make sure everyone finishes with the recognition they deserve.
You have 103 hours to complete the course from the moment of the grand depart (07:00 on Friday).
That means the final finish deadline is Tuesday, 18 August at 2:00 PM.
Taking the ferry is completely optional—you can arrange your own travel if you prefer.
Nordic Chase has a partnership with Go Nordic Cruiseline, giving you special cabin rates for the ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen on August 18th. Booking a cabin with us means a cheaper rate, entry to our party on the boat, and the chance to securely bring your bicycle on the ferry.
Important: You must arrive in Oslo before 2 PM on August 18th (Cut-Off Time) to ensure you don’t miss the ferry. This is your responsibility, and we cannot rebook your ticket to a different date.
For those who join us on the ferry:
- Departure Oslo: Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 at 4 pm
- Collective dinner party on Ferry with the Nordic Chase participants
- Arrival in Copenhagen: Wednesday, August 19th, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Not Included:

Accommodation is not included in the registration. Riders need to arrange their own overnight stays along the route—you’re free to choose hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, or sheltered options.

TIP: for adventurous riders: a great resource for planning is Vindskyddskartan, which offers a detailed map of hiking shelters across Sweden (and similar coverage in Norway). Also, wild camping is allowed in Sweden and Norway (check Allemansrätten).

You can also coordinate with fellow participants in the WhatsApp group to share accommodations.
